COURAGE
"Courage is fear that has said its prayer."
"Courage is like a kite, a contrary wind raises it higher."
Sometimes on the road of life we are given challenges and how we face them depends on how we believe in ourselves and a higher power. Do we cower from the unknown or boldly go about our business trusting that we will be ok? No matter how bad we may think we have it ~ there is always someone else 'out there' who has it even 'worse'. The best way to face our fears is to meet them head on ~ face the fear and overcome it! Belief that there is a higher purpose at work which wanted and valued our input in a given situation may help ease what transpires. Some of the hardships we endure are not so much for our learning but for the learning of others ~ we often teach by example without even knowing it. How we deal with our fears when put to the test will often times be the format for others to follow.
Fear itself has no power over us unless we allow it. Letting our imagination run wild when we don't know what will happen just defeats and undermines our own self confidance. Our own inner fears are usually far worse than most things that happen. The best way to face our fears is to meet them head on ~ take a deep breath and plant our feet firmly on the ground before turning our face to the fear ~ then walk right up to it and 'bite it in the butt'. Allowing ourselves a sense of humour when confronting stressful situations is also a great fear buster technique.
The best way to cure fear is to be yourself, believe in yourself ... and believe in a higher power. Trust that you will survive and get through ~ no matter what ...
