AFFECTS OF COLOURS
Different colours have certain properties just as different stones do. Here is a general description of these properties. This overview gives you a list of the expected affects from each colour when you are exposed to them [especially if these colours are used in specific areas]. These colours are not to be confused with the seven main chakras. These are the effects of colours.
BLUE: Relieves itching, irritation of abraded surfaces, encourages perspiration, reduces or removes fever, pineal stimulant.
GREEN: A balancer, a pituitary stimulant, destroys germs, cleans and prevents decay, a germicide, disinfectant, antiseptic.
INDIGO: Parathyroid stimulant, respiratory depressant, arrests hemorrhages, eases suffering, lessens excitement, sedative.
LEMON: [mixture of yellow and green]: Promotes coughing for the expulsion of mucus from the lungs, bone builder, brain stimulant, mildly laxative, used in chronic cases.
MAGENTA: [deep purple]: Emotional equilibration and auric building, equilibrates activity of the heart and blood circulatory system.
ORANGE: Lung builder and respiratory stimulant, stimulates thyroid, stomach stimulant, relieves flatulence or gas in digestive tract, bone builder.
PURPLE: A kidney depressant, induces relaxation and sleep, lowers blood pressure, reduces heart rate, lowers body temperature, controls fever, may make sex powers excessive.
RED: Stimulates sensory nervous system, builds hemoglobin of the blood, draws out infections from skin, may cause temporary redness.
SCARLET: A kidney stimulant, raises blood pressure, increases heart rate, builds the sex powers when deficient, stimulates menstrual function.
TURQUOISE: Produces a favorable change in the process of nutrition in recent cases, brain depressant, skin tonic, rebuilds burned skin.
VIOLET: A spleen stimulant, decreases muscular activity, lymphatic gland depressant, promotes production of white blood cells.
YELLOW: Stimulates motor nervous system, which energizes the muscles, stimulates lymphatic system, stimulates intestines and the production of digestive fluids.
